All fire extinguishers need to be serviced and inspected annually to make sure they are in date, certificated and that they will work correctly and efficiently every time. This is a legal requirement under the Fire Safety Order 2005 and non-compliance attracts severe penalties. We carry out Fire Extinguisher Servicing in Berkshire and the surrounding counties and right across the South Coast of England.

Depending on the type of fire extinguisher/s that you have, our BAFE qualified engineers will generally conduct the following:
At the completion of our works, the engineer will discuss any replacements, repairs or additional requirements that are needed. We can arrange a date for these remedials to be carried out at your convenience.
We can also discuss establishing a regular schedule of Fire Extinguisher and Fire Equipment Maintenance and servicing to ensure that your premises is always prepared and compliant.
As well as a yearly service, fire extinguishers also need an extended fire extinguisher service after 5 years. This is a much more comprehensive check than the annual service (and monthly inspections). The 5 year service comprises everything in the annual service with the inclusion of the discharging the fire extinguisher. This allows our engineers to assess the fire suppressant material and the distance of its discharge. Anything that deviates from current standards will be flagged and rectification actions recommended. CO2 Fire Extinguishers are the only extinguishers that don’t need a 5 year service. They are much higher pressure so they only need to be fully serviced every 10 years (part of the reason they are the preferred choice of extinguisher for many businesses).

All our fire extinguisher servicing is carried out to BS5306 parts 3 and 8 by our in-house team of BAFE trained extinguisher service engineers, who can maintain any make and type of extinguisher, and we offer fast response times.
If we’re providing you with brand new fire extinguishers, we conduct the fire extinguisher commissioning on-site. And all installations come with suitable mounting accessories or stands.
